New EMT in Florida

I am a new EMT in the Daytona area and I am having trouble finding a job while I am going to school to become a Paramedic. If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

There is nothing in the Daytona area for you. Volusia County just did an EMT hiring. There are privates in the Orlando area that will hire new EMT's but not sure if they will work around your medic school. Try Rural Metro or American. Pickings are slim as most EMS in this area is either fire based or county third service. Unfortunately getting your medic won't be much help either as there are tons of medics graduated every semester and only a few non fire based jobs. Good luck!

Thanks! I have considered taking the Fire course but I'm not big on it. I know I can't be picky if I really want a job, so if I have to take the school then I will.
