NEMSA Sales Representative Lafayette, LA

This position is responsible for developing a market for educational products and services provided by the National EMS Academy.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

- Identify potential customers and develop marketing strategies for closing sales to reach pre-defined sales goals for the educational products and services provided by the National EMS Academy.
- Maintain a contact database of all current and potential customers.
- Assist with the development of marketing materials.
- Lead sales presentations given to management-level staff of mid- to large-sized EMS organizations.
- Create proposals and quotations for customers and finalize sales agreements.
- Coordinate with grant writer to provide incentives for customers to utilize our products and services.
- Report to the Manager of Continuing Education all activities on a weekly basis, at a minimum.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent with a good amount of experience in an educational or medical setting. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong PC literacy with specific proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. A strong understanding of web-based programs and/or marketing is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently. Must have a sense of urgency in all tasks assigned and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to travel overnight.
