Well, I'm originally from Michigan (SE area) and was moved to Texas my senior year of HS.

Thought has crossed my mind to move back to Michigan and continue school and rejoin with friends. While looking on the Michigan EMS page, I couldn't find a link for reciprocity.

So, Michigan EMSers;

Help? Pretty pwease?

I'm not sure what you're asking about.

Providers? Good places to hang out? Friends?

Oh, you mean how Michigan goes about recognizing certification/license in another state?

I lived in Michigan for half my life, I already know the good places :P

I just need a reciprocity link por favor.

Where you looking at moving to? Area?

Well, I lived in Lake Orion (near Pontiac) the whole 10 years I was there, so Oakland County would be the best since I already know the area and the schools to continue education.

Guess it depends on quite a few factors though.

Come up to Genesee County area if you want to have some real fun ;)

GETS (Genesys Emergency Transport) through Genesys hospital is good pay but just transfers

If by fun you mean being shot at in Flint :P

But is any place there hiring?

Actually, DVA isn't bad.

Except that they work out of vans.

Good calls though. Walk-in arterial bleeds to Hurley, prisoners swallowing bags of cocaine, victims being thrown out of cars at 60 MPH, and so on. Never encountered any violence against us though.

And neither is STAT

From what I hear see and know, STAT is growing and looking for a good chunk of people. DVA/GCEMS isn't hiring when I checked the other day for some strange reason. They've pulled out of Durand and now just in downtown.

It's my impression during my brief time there that the city alone keeps them quite busy. And they're actually hiring paramedics with a sign-on bonus.

That being said, I'm glad my company has never made a decision without first ensuring it was financially secure for years and years. You're right, services that are growing right now are rare. I'm glad I'm part of one.
