Bumped into a crew from MedLife today. Sounds like life is getting tough there. Paychecks handed out on Friday (at 5pm) bounced, along with others today.

Anybody have the scoop? If you're looking, you may want to take a pass on this one.

I had Health Net insurance check bounced before and they have millions in the bank. Will wait for complete story before passing judgement.

I agree, but these guys said it's been happening for weeks. I guess the whole story becomes evident if they fold.

Heard anything from MedLife crews?

One thing I can confirm is that they haven't declared bankruptcy yet as I just checked and there is nothing for them. If it really been happening for weeks, i would think some of their current employee would have already posted here. They did weather the storm when they were totally shutdown by LA County EMS, so one would assume they have some good reserve. I agree if they do fold, picture will be clear.

I'd imagine that their reserves would be shot (weathering the storm) after being shut down.

From The Green Mile:

"Deadman walking, there's a deadman walking."

I'd bet they don't have 30 days. We've sceneitall before. Once the cycle starts, it's almost impossible to stop it and the employees will soon be scrambling.

A company can work crews like a dog, but NEVER mess with their $$$$.
