Can anybody tell me a little bit about the McCormick pre-employment testing for EMT?

How hard are the questions and how many?
What is the mapping test and how hard is it? Is there any practice tests?
What is the essay about?

Thanks a lot in advance. I really appreciate any help.

Can't speak to the McCormick test specifically, but most EMT-B tests are rather simple.

The EMT questions are usually straight from the curriculum. If you read your text book originally and remember the material, you'll be fine. If not, reread the important chapters or take some online quizzes. Airway, OB, CPR stuff.

I'd bet the mapping questions will be "Find 15473 Smith Blvd and route to it from base." Get familiar with the Thomas Guide. It'll be your best friend.

Essays in basic tests are either scenario, "you come upon a 65 year old male, not breathing. What do you do?" or it's "Tell us in 150 words why you would be an asset to this company."

Good luck.
