Mayo Clinic in AZ stops accepting Medicare

Very interesting, especially in light of recent senate legislation.
Does this mean, among other things, that they are no longer bound by EMTALA and other such laws?

This only pertains to one of their clinics and the Mayo Healthcare organization has several. There may be a good chance the patients can keep their doctor or even find another one who their like better at another Mayo clinic.

This is also nothing knew as some hospitals have made their EDs private to where they function as clinics and by the regulations governing clinics rather than an Emergency Dept.
