Make a living as an EMT Basic in Billings, MT?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and the profession, and planning on moving to Billings, MT next year. I was wondering if I can make it there on my beginner/basic pay after I complete my training here in California. Thanks in advance for your answers and advice.

More than likely it will be around minimum wage. Compare their minimum wage to cost of living. Good luck.

Don't know squat about the cost of living or EMT pay in Montana, but the first thing I would look into is if any of the Certs you are going after in California are valid in Montana. Sometimes California is a world unto itself as far as rules, regulations, certifications and protocols are concerned.

Thanks, already did: turns out the California cert isn't but the National Registry is OK.
