Before I get off my own behind and look for myself, I thought I would ask...

Does anyone have, or know of, any data or research into ambulance crashes. I'm particularly interested in the relative risk of driving lights and sirens compared to normal day to day stuff. Anything on fatigue would be nice too.

Hopefully someone can save me from having to use Google.

Thanks!

I did a study on ambulance ergonomics and paramedic injury, and I did do some searched for collision safety in the american style of ambulances, but there isn't much research out there on either topic. not enough to write a decent paper on. you may have to pull the data yourself from the road safety or occupational safety departments where you are located. in the US its OSHA and NHTSA. I will pm you a link to my list of papers that my be relevant. if you see any you want and don't have access to any databases I will pull them and email them to you. let me know if it helps.

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Not sure why I put this in ALS discussion; I'll blame nightshiftitis.
