Hello recently I was in the Cape Coral ,ft Myers area on a job search I didn't realize it was split into so many county's . Any advise on how to get a door in the door I am a medic with 10yrs experience and also a fire fighter I reside in tn but will be moving to that area around feb. any feedback would be great!

yes there a lot of counties and towns. If your not a fire fighter you not going to be getting a job in FL unless your certified there. Yes u can get a 12hr or 15hr job running transports if there hiring. There are about a million medics with fire certs waiting to get hired. The towns and counties have been on a hiring freeze for a while. Although some say it will open up again only 5-10 spot become open with about 1500 people try to apply. I gave up on fl once I got out of medic school because of seeing friends waiting around for 2 or more years. Some get lucky but it really sucks down there now.
