Hey guys,

I just took the lift test for Americare ambulance, and I just wanted to list what they made me do in case anyone wants to start training for lift tests for their company.

1-warm up on a bike
2-lift 40lbs up to shoulders 2 times for 5 seconds
3-lift 137lbs up to "waist" 2 times for 5 seconds
4-lift 90lbs and walk up 3 steps up and down 3 times
5-4 different levels of a back test which requires you to push back on a pad with your back, and the resistance is changed 4 times (hardest to easiest)
6-urine test
7-physical performed by chiropractor

I was able to do all the exercises and I had only started lifting weights at the gym about a month ago (I'm a 5'7" 130lb female). I just wanted to make this list so people can know what to expect and know what to do to train for it in the future. Hope it helps!

Hey, I have HR orientation today and EMT orientation all next week so I guess I'll find out who my FTO is then. I'm assuming you work for the company, how is it?

Its alright. Its a job. You work 72 hours a week so pay is decent and you will get a Compton or Downey Fire call every 2 weeks or so.
