Does anybody have experience working as an EMT Basic for Lifeline in Mass? How do/did you like it? I've searched all over the internet and haven't been able to find out much about what they're like to work for. I'm looking for a new company (for what it's worth, I'm still in good standing at my current one, just need a bit of a change) and they were the first to offer me a job, but I'm not sure what I'd be getting myself into...

What area of MA are you looking to work in? How familiar are you with the EMS landscape in MA? Do you want 911 experience or no?

A friend of mine worked there for a few years as a basic. I haven't talked to him in depth about it, but I get the impression he got kind of run into the ground with transfers but that overall it wasn't a bad company to work for. I don't think Lifeline has many (any?) primary 911 contracts. I think they do pick up a fair amount of scraps from Boston EMS but if you're in Boston you're probably doing 95% transfers.

Having not worked there myself take this with a grain of salt... I'll say that I haven't heard bad things, but I haven't really heard good things either. They wouldn't be my first choice.

@Jessanne I used to work their years ago for my first job as a basic. Send me a PM and i can give you a run down of the company

No 911 contracts in Mass. you'll get the occasional "bad labs" direct call to Lifeline response to a nursing home
