I just received my NREMT cert and patch in the mail today! (passed test yesterday). Could someone from Kentucky please tell me what I need to do next in order to obtain my state license? I was told by someone that it will be mailed to me from the state. Is this true and is their anything I need to do on my part or do I just wait for it?

Provided your background check and paperwork is in order at KBEMS, the state will mail you your numbers.

KBEMS is NOTORIOUSLY bad for getting your card in the mail. It took my Basic cert 4 weeks to get to me back in 2006. Fortunately for you if you call them they will let you go pick it up in Frankfort which is significantly more convenient if you live near Frankfort

That's definitely NOT what I wanted to hear. But I do appreciate your feedback. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can;t get the ball rolling a little quicker. I live in Ashland which means Frankfort = 3 hour drive.

Ouch, well good luck they may be a bit faster now but who knows. Plus if you go in person you can ask to have your picture put on the card
