What is the brand or make of the airway manikin that your service or school uses for practice and training of the king tube, and/or combi tube. Also how well does it work.

Thanks

Laerdal Airway Management Trainer. Its alright I guess. Good for overall skill practicing but still not super realistic.

Yeah, not realistic, and their paperwork states not for combi. Little hard to practice or teach, with something that kinda works. I even email kingtubes and asked which airway manikin they would recommend -- but they never answered me.

Same here, they work fine. They accept combis too. I've never had an issue placing either adjunct in one of them. They're affectionately named Fred The Head.

Is that was laerdal calls it??? The one we use is listed as Laerdal Airway Management Trainer. Even if you lube the heck out of it you have to shove it in a whole lot harder that you would do a real human. It also will not go to the teeth without holding it in the mouth. Surely there is something better out there.:unsure

We also use Ambu Intubation Trainer this one. Really cool cuz you can see -- but it wont take a king or combi either.

For my EMT class they let us try intubation and King Tubes just for the experience. Both were done on a Laerdal trainer which worked just fine.
