I'm about 99% sure I passed but I must admit that thing is ridiculously stupid. What is there deal with always giving two possible options? I understand, choose the one that comes first in order of patient care but sometimes its just not that simple. Maybe I over analyze things. I heard the national registry is even worse. Anybody have any similar issues?

What is Mid-Atlantic?

A Private EMS Company?

Linuss, read the community rules. There is no posting of NREMT questions allowed here. I'd edit your post before the CL's have a chance to get the hammer out.

Bah, sorry bout that, wasn't thinking about anything other then how confusing some of the questions can be :P

Most of these types of questions have one word which will specify the information the tester is trying to assess. Words like.. first... only.. or always....

When they are giving you mulitple options that both seem to be pretty much the same, this is a question they want you too look at more carefully. There is always a detail hidden somewhere in the scenario.

Agreed and thanks for the feedback. I think a lot of people can agree these questions sometimes seem as if the person who has written them has never been in the field. I wonder if they test run these exams on EMT's that are already certified before they distribute them to students. It would make sense to see if certified EMT's can even pass them first try.

I think I did well though so whatever.

Btw, the mid-atlantic is a type of "State" test that is given in New Jersey and a few bordering states. We can take the NREMT but there isn't much of a point. In New Jersey, we are kind of restricted to some of the things we can do compared to the rest of the country.

A lot of times part of the answer will be true, but some part of it will be false. Watch out for that! Just pick the best possible answer. I've been through the MCAT and am now prepping for the USMLE to become a MD. All standardized tests do this to make sure you can think critically about a situation in the field when the answer may not be so clear.

Haha took the exam December 23rd 2008, just received my score today February 19, 2009. Awesome, huh? Haha. Yeah, I passed. 87. Whoopdy-doo!
