I'm on my way to do my second set of clinical hours for class...first twelve hour shift, we ran two calls :-( Still have three more shifts after today, plus four ER rotations to complete before EMT-B class is over in June. I have to admit, I think I learned more on those two calls and spending 12 hours at the fire department than I have in almost three months of class so far!

that sucks.. hopefully you will be busy the next time!

We didnt have a set # of hours, we had a set number of patient contacts... well, kind of. We had to do a minimum of 24 hours, we all had well over 100, I had 200 hours before all of the patient contacts were met!!
 
Ugh...2 calls in twelve hours. We are required to do at least 24 hours, but we have to have 8 patient contacts. At this rate, I am going to have to work full time over there to get enough patient contacts :P

I love it, am hooked and just wish I would get more confident in myself...oh yeah, and not put the BP cuff on inside out or backwards or whatever was wrong with it today haha
