Job market for EMT-Bs/EMTs in Lousiana

Hello again, It appears that in many parts of the country employement as an EMT is scarce, and it can be very challenging to find a job.Well I heard today that in Louisiana that is not the case. Here in Louisina i think we are one of the few states where 80 percent of 911 EMS is provided by private ambulance service rather than Fire EMS or Municipal EMS. I heard that alot of these private ambulance companies are hiring EMTs and Paramedics in fact, theres a shortage of EMTs and Paramedics in this state. It also appears that in this state, the salary for EMTs and Paramedics is one of the better ones, Paramedics between 38,000-50,000 anually and EMT-Bs between 26,000 and 30,000 anually. Just curious how the job market is here because im about to get through my course and wondering how hard it is to get on here! Any input from Louisiana Medics or EMTs would be nice, thanks!
