Has anyone been able to get a pass on IV certs or at least a reduced amount on them?

Which state or states are you referring to? I know in CO, it won't help you obtain an iv cert to be a 68w, hell back in the day my I85 barely counted, and thats a full fledged intermediate cert

Yea its in Colorado and I've already found out that it doesn't help. Seems all the hospitals needs an IV cert though, so I need to get one. But, if I can get it for cheap then that would be the best way to go.

It's like a three day class...a week, maybe, with clinicals.
