Hello everybody! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is, Edgar. I have recently completed EMT course here in Southern CA at the Rio Hondo Fire Academy. I am 19yo, working at a Togo's sandwich shop. I'm currently completing Fire Tech classes and working out in order to attend the Fire Academy. I will be taking my National Registry on Monday at 5:30pm! I'm very excited and hope to be well prepared. As soon as I receive my license to practice I will be applying with McCormick. Thank you.

No, I'm not in Arcadia. I've done ride alongs with that department though. I work for a different Togo's. I should be leaving soon to work as an EMT-B with an ambulance company, I'm leaning towards McCormick.
 
Edgar togo's sucks, Rio Hondo on the other hand is cool, and so is the HOLIDAY!!!!, but don't waste your time at an ambulance company too long my friend hurry up and get into medic school.
 
Thanks, atropine. After the Rio Fire Academy, I will be enrolling into Paramedic school.

Really? What areas? May i ask what your experience was like with them? Also, what type of shifts do they run, 12 or 24? Thanks a lot! :)

i just applied to Care Ambulance a couple days ago. I'm going to take Fire classes at Santa ana college starting this fall.

hey! you're in the neighborhood! I took pharm tech classes at santa ana! if only they offer medic classes... anybody know a location nearby?

I'm from Garden Grove as well :P
They have a medic school at Saddleback College and there's a Paramedic's Institute at Lake Forest as well

AHHHHHHHH I dont know if I can work in So. Cal anymore too many overtrained peeps but thats a direction I dont want to go....
