Intermediates attending 911 call

Here on LI, in our world of 911 being staffed by mostly vollies (some departments have 1 or 2 paid people per shift), the rig rolls with whomever you can get, B's, CC's, or P's. And yes, we have a LOT of P's who volunteer. Some don't work as P's at all, some are like my fiance - volunteer as a P, work doing something totally different, and once in a while pick up a per diem shift to help out a friend.

There was an interesting article a few days ago on msnbc regarding ER care.
