My so far unused EMT B cert (nremt and Texas) will expire in a few months. I am planning a move to Tucson, AZ soon and was thinking about initially trying to get a non-emergent transport job, as a way to gain a bit of medical field experience, and keep my cert current, keeping the door open to future possibilities.
However many of the private companies I have seen don't require an EMT cert, just CPR and on-the-job training. I assume these types of jobs wouldn't do anything for keeping my cert current. Any advice on where to look for a job that would qualify as "using" my EMT license? Or, does anyone know of an nremt resource that spells out these requirements?
