Firefighters have their own jargon for the same stuff too. How do you keep track of it?
idk about fire fighters but once you get out of class, pass your NREMT and spend some time on the ambulance you will get the hang of it.

Which one should a new EMT shoot for?
If you can get on 911 go for it! However, that's not always the case. If you apply to private and they are willing to train you then take what you can get. How far into class are you?
