Hurricane Dorian

Promising to be a walloping storm to FL and possibly the SE coast.

Anyone here going on a team or live in the AO? Going as DRT/DMAT/USAR/other? Lots of resources are being prepped and deployed for Dorian.

My old team is not on call but half the members are backfilled to other teams. Me? I'm sitting in the middle of horlando.

My agency has a truck on standby waiting for the call. I'm not going though. Not this time.

Was a big nothing burger for the US. This has the fearful sentiment that next time people will be resistant to the call to evac or prepare, as the Cat 5 that cried wolf did not deliver on the US coast as predicted.

Those poor islanders can’t catch a break though, parts of the Bahamas are destroyed and many lives were lost. RIP.
