Whats up guys

I'm in the middle of an EMT-B course and we only had a 12-hr ED shift unfortunately. No ride-alongs on an ambulance at all. Any ideas on how I can get a ride-along with one of the local 911 ambulances in NYC?

Also, is it better to do a ridealong while I'm still a student or after I get EMT-B certification? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank You

1) ask your instructor how to do this
2) call FDNY HQ and ask them how to do this
3) If you are taking an EMT course through a hospital, or affiliated with a hospital that runs their own EMS agency, call their main office and ask them
4) do a ride a long while in school. so you know what you are getting yourself into

So I called up a local FDNY EMS station they said to goto FDNY HQ @ 9 Metrotech, Brooklyn to get signed up and select a shift or something. Anyone had luck with this? I went after 5 on friday and they were closed. Going to go Monday probably. Hope it all works out.
