Now, by "polio-like" they mean signs and symptoms, not means of transmission (no idea about that had been publicized yet). This article was via Stanford University.

I can see it now. "They got a polio-like disease, which means they got polio, but they were vaccinated against polio, so they don't work, so down with vaccinations!!!"



In other news, it looked like a couple of the children got a virus known to cause polio like symptoms but other didn't. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Some ignorant people are saying it was caused by vaccinations.

I want to see the results of screenings for antibodies if they figure out it's a bug and they can do that. Even when regular polio went around, many people tested positive but were never severely or acutely ill. Ditto West Nile disease around here.
