What it takes to be successful as a Paramedic:
• Florida State Paramedic Certification
• CPR Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Florida Driver License
• Clean driving record
What you will do as a Paramedic:
• Respond to BLS and ALS inter-facility transports and scene calls
• Assess how to move patients to the most appropriate destination
• Produce thorough patient care reports including the patient's history, condition and treatment
• Liaise with fellow EMS and healthcare providers such as police, fire, hospitals, senior living facilities, and other ambulance companies to ensure the appropriate response is provided
• Responsible for other related duties deemed necessary to meet the needs of the company

Physical / Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Walk -- frequently, up to 10 hours per day
- Run -- infrequently, 1-2 minutes per day
- Stand -- frequently, up to 10 hours per day
- Sit -- frequently, up to 8 hours per day
- Kneel -- frequently, 10-16 times per day
- Bend/Squat -- frequently, 10-15 times per day
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 250 lbs. infrequently (1-4 times per shift)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 150 lbs. frequently (6-12 times per shift)
- Must be able to climb stairs while carrying up to 150 lbs.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
- Understand and respond to a diverse population
- Utilize fine motor coordination, clear speech, and good visual acuity
