So, the list of websites and blogs and journals in my RSS feed has grown huge.....far too big to be useful, in fact. Lots of good sources in there, but it's time consuming to even skim through, and relatively little of it is really hi-yield, important, useful information. I need to pare my reading list way down to just a handful of things that I have the time to actually read and get useful information from. The whole FOAMed thing has gotten a little tedious, too - there is some really interesting stuff on those sites but the culture there still seems to want to talk mostly about ketamine and crics and ED ECMO.....over and over and over.

I'm having a hard time finding really good quality EMS con-ed. It looks like I may have to start using stuff intended for EM docs in order to get the quality I want, but much or most of what the EM docs have to stay current on isn't really applicable to my practice or interest. An EMS-focused source would be much better, if I could only find a really good one.

What I'm looking for is a something intentionally meant to be used as con-ed that critically reviews recently published research as it applies to EMS, as well as presenting some useful non-research articles or videos or talks on important topics. Not the JEMS or EMS1 variety. I don't mind paying for some good-quality ed, but free is always preferable. Not that interested in the podcast format either; really looking for stuff to read.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sometimes I find some useful blogs done by some well read paramedics, but it's not going to work for actual con-ed.

Prehospital Wisdom is done by a Denver Paramedic who is a former assistant chief there and and decided that being in that role was not for him. He now writes a blog that is half about leadership and half about semi-obscure clinical findings that an excellent provider will find.

It's not constantly updated but I enjoy the content. Sometimes it's about type-A but you get the message: http://prehospitalwisdom.blogspot.com/
