Good day to all!
My name is Alexzyev Z. Dolumbal. I am from the Philippines, specifically Dumaguete City in the province of Negros Oriental. Just recently, a group of businessmen and doctors started a volunteer EMS in our city, known as ONE Rescue Emergency Medical Services (ONE for Oriental Negros Emergency). We started our training last December 2008 and now we are almost done with our basic. FYI, there's no law governing EMS here in the Philippines, so the situation here is very confusing. It seems that anyone can call himself/herself a paramedic, even with just a first aid training. Sucks huh? I have been a member before of a volunteer rescue group, but we only had first aid training and I really thought it was never enough. Thankfully this time, we have a very good and generous trainor, a former firefighter/EMT from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He's currently living here in the Philippines. Thank God He sent someone to train us. Though we are not qualified and established as you guys, we're trying our best to get there. Hope you could help us with little things that mean a lot. I'm so excited to meet you, at least here in the forum, and discuss each others' ideas, points and views regarding EMS. Btw, this is my first time to join a forum. EMS is one area I'm serious about, so I joined in. Hope to hear from you guys soon!
