Hello everyone and thanks for the warm welcome.

Sorry to be so long in responding, just got home from a 14 hr workday. I'm studying to be an EMT-B because the hours are better. :D

I'm 36 years old, male, and I currently pay the bills doing concert lighting, sound and rigging. Like my username says, I'm in SW VA. Roanoke, to be exact. I became interrested in becoming an EMT mostly by accident. I applied for a firefighter / EMT job with the City back in the spring because.... Well, just because they were hiring. But the more I researched, the more genuinely interrested I became in working in this field. So I enrolled in a class and I'm now about halfway to getting certified.

Hobbies? You mean things I like to do but never have time for? Golf tops the list. I used to be pretty good. Had a 2 handicap when I was an assistant pro. I'd be lucky to break 80 now. Shooting is another favorite pastime, but I haven't fired a shot in many, many months.

This is a great place you folks have here. Very informative and entertainig I've discovered from my lurking. It's a pleasure to be in such good company.
