Hermosa Beach A/O Program

While researching for possible new jobs and opportunities to further my experience in the emergency medical services field I came across a ambulance operator/ internship for Hermosa Beach Fire Department. Has anyone been involved with the program or know anything helpful about it?

You may want to try the same inquiry over at firecareers.com. There are current and former members of other A/O programs in the So Cal area over there that should be able to answer your questions. Also in case you don't know firehouse.com is a great resource.

There are many smaller departments in So Cal that run A/O programs,the experience is unbeatable especially if you are leaning towards a career in fire or fire based EMS. Many who are successful in these programs find it much easier getting picked up by career departments in the future. These are very competitive positions and to be successful you need to make sure you have all your ducks in a row including knowing how to score high on your oral interview.
