Here we go again!

All that training medics have..still can't see if someone is alive or dead :P jk jk.

Really though, maybe the person was triaged? That is the only thing that makes sence, given the black tag of death, and left there. That is the name of the game, I am sure this isnt the first case to ever hit the court system like this. I think it was a triage error.

A little city the size of Yuma should be able to provide enough resources to transport two critical and 4 with minor injuries. If that stresses their system, I would hate to see the result of a real MCI with several serious patients.

This accident happened in the afternoon so the Paramedics shouldn't say it was fatique from working a 24 hour shift, as those in the San Antonio incident similiar to this, unless they were doing OT.

Actually, you should re-triage, after enough resources have arrived. If they would have re-triaged this pt, they may have caught on that there were signs of life.

This is a lesson for those that have never had to triage pt's before. Even if you black tag a pt. Once all others are treated and transported. check your black tags again! Ones you thought were going to die, may still be holding on. Also, re-triage your green tags, to make sure no injuries have come to light!;)

Agreed! Exactly what I was getting at!
