hello! I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions or help on how to prep/study for national registry for paramedic? I have taken it twice now and failed both times? I passed paramedic as one of the top students and passed my skills national registry??? I'm not sure if it's because I'm just not understanding the questions or what?! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Same exact story hear, on my 3rd attempt, Top in my class and one of the only ones not to pass NREMT-P on the first shot. So frustrating. I bought Medictests.com and have been testing daily with that for the last 4 weeks. I'm signed up to take the test again on Thursday. I'll let you know how it goes.

Some classes focus on rote memorization rather than testing your ability in critical thinking. The NREMT places a large focus on critical thinking because that is a skill set that is really important when weighing differential diagnoses on scene. You may understand definitions really well, but may not be great in really differentiating what the questions are asking, and what you should be thinking about while assessing and treating a patient.

If you did well in class but not in the test, then I would avoid wasting time studying the book. I would focus on things like JB Learning and FISDAP, which have more of a focus on critical thinking.
