Need some advice, input from EMS personnel. So I am 24 years old, started school at a community college, got my prereqs, then transferred to a university in Oregon to study Physical Activity and Health, with an interest in getting certified as an athletic trainer upon graduation. Well, due to my lack of research and very poor advising, I learned that the university isn't accredited by the CAATE. In other words, my degree won't qualify me for the athletic training cert. Meanwhile, I became certified as an EMT-B last summer, and loved that learning experience. Because there aren't a whole lot of EMT jobs where I am at (Just north of Portland, OR), I used what college I had and my EMT cert to get a job as a physical therapy aide. Great job, but dead end unless you wanna spend forever in grad school paying tons of money. So my question is: any advice on which route to go (ATC vs EMT-B or P)? I feel like I'd have to start over again to become an ATC, but I am not sure if my current job (which is considered clinical) would get me into paramedic school. I feel just short of education or experience for either of these 2 fields
