Hello all,

Just wanted to intriduce myself.

32 year old female... I have been in EMS for 12.5 years, first as a basic, and now as a medic for the past 6.5 years.

Tried the nursing thing, it sucked, I left, and now I am back to the office on wheels, and for this I am quite thankful!

Anyone else on here from the north east, I am up in NH where it is getting quite cold!

Howdy!
I'm new here too. From Indiana where we've just recently got our second "real" snow. Oh boy...

Greetings! I'm from North but no so far east. We've just had our first big snow in my part of Canada, but it's not too cold yet.

Sounds familiar. What kind of nursing did you try? I worked in a STICU that unfortunately had a view of the ER driveway.

Welcome~

It is getting quite cold down here in Texas, too! Yesterday it got Down into the upper sixties!!!

LOL! glad im not alone! I survived 3 years in the ER...Went from full time to part time to per diem to no time... Also tried NICU, but my preceptor was a witch and the hours sucked, and everytime i saw a police car, fire truck, or ambulance drive by i was met with my own feelings of regret that i was not doing that anymore... so here i am back on the truck and happy to go to work again.
