As far as the UK certification, I believe your scope is similar to most US paramedics. You do have more options to suggest or implement various other dispositions beyond a trip to the ED though, which is lacking in most US EMS systems.

A paramedic in Scotland is a paramedic in the states, however you have a bit more training then we do. It can be transferred, but it's a lengthy process.
