hello, glad I found this forum. I have been an EMT-B for about 6 weeks now, have not gotten onto our local ambulance service up here yet (not hiring until end of August). But, I want to end up living in Hawaii, and I have heard it is difficult to break into EMS there unless you go to school there? Also, this was from a very old thread I found, but I read that a service there pays you to take classes at Kapi'olani Community college and work on an ambulance at the same time? Making money while taking classes is the only thing keeping me from going but if they allow you to work while you take classes then that would be amazing and I wouldn't think twice about trying to head down there next school year. Thanks in advance for the info!
