at my volunteer ambulance corp every keeps talking about the good old days things use to be better .. i have been on for a year and am curious but i think maybe we should find some new things as a corp to do or something to get members involved more any ideas?

The good old days were always good... that is why we call them such.

My squad has some of the same issues... we have a huge new station... and we lost the community feel we used to have in our old building... where we had a dining room and a TV room... and an office... and 1 bunkroom - we were always in each others way, and each others hair... now with the new building, everyone can disappear into a different room, and you can go most of the night without interacting with others.


We've changed a lot over the years I've been involved... and even more from "the good old days" the old timers talk about.

Change can be for the better.

basically anything involving competition, as long as its well controlled, is good for team building. whether it be softball, darts, ems competition its always fun.
