 Just wondering if anyone out there has any news if they passed the practical exam taken in the month of May....I checked PSI and the website said they are now scheduling for the written for MA residents. Thanks!

I Took M Practicle 2 Years Ago. Failed My Med Assessment And Ked.. Took Them Over Again And Passed With Flying Colors. Couple Weeks Later I Had My Thing InMy MailBox Saying I Ciuld Take My Written. One Of The Third Wheel Ride Alongs I Have With Me On Monday Nights Took His Practicle In MAy And Took His The written Call Oems, Explain Your situation. the 6 Digit Number You Were Given For Your PracticAl They Will Ask For. From ThereThey Should Be Able To Pass Some clarification Onto You.

Thanks so much, I think I will try and call. Why not right? I appreciate you telling me you failed your first try. I've been feeling like giving up cuz I picture I am the only one in my class that may have failed. The cpr station was weird cuz the o2 tank was already set up and it threw me off cuz I was all set to clear the tank of debris, I put the tubing on the wrong section of the BVM then the instructor said my leg was too close to the dummy when I said clear, then at splinting I tied the stupid swaths on the outside of the arm not under. These are the reasons I think I failed. It sucks wondering day after day. Anyway, thanks again and have a Happy 4th of July hope you don't have to work. Oh thank you third wheel for me too.

MA is overhauling its certification management as of 7/1/13, but you're caught up in the middle of this processing under the old system. By best recommendation for you is to try to register for your exam on the PSI website with your candidate id (890xxx, or whatever).

Oh, I've tried that...I am wearing my keyboard out! I think I'll call PSI next week if I am still in the dark. The owner of the training facility I went to briefly told the others in my class the day of the exam about the switch. That's another thing I have to ponder. I was holding off on that issue until I find out if I passed the practical or not. Thanks for your reply!!!!!!!!!!! As for now I will just keep on dealing with this anxiety by doing what I do best. Over-eating, beer drinking and smoking like a chimney. Maybe we will meet as I am being transported to the nearest and most appropriate facility. (Ha-ha)

They told me it would be 6-8 weeks to find out, 6-8 weeks came and nothing. Called up OEMS and they said somebody retired and they never filled the position and it would be another 6-8 weeks. This was last fall BTW, so they may have filled it by now but it is a sign of how OEMS is.

Oh that is sick... I've had it. I called PSI and they had absolutely no records as well. I figure I will call OEMS next week. Thank you so much for letting me know this, now it won't be a crushing blow when they tell me something similar. I'm not going to stress out about this anymore. I think God is trying to tell me something. Thanks so much!

Took my practical on 7/2, got results the next day. Just signed up to take the written test today. Seems like they really did get their stuff together, at least for now. Hope you get your situation sorted out quickly...

Thank You!!

That is very encouraging news, I really appreciate your reply...there may be a light at the end of this tunnel after all.

I was thinking worst case scenario I guess you could just redo the practical? Stinks to waste so much time and money, but there's also opportunity cost sunk into sitting around waiting for test results when you could be working and getting experience.

Yeah, this was a bummer. I will retake the practical again if I failed. The weird thing was I think we were tested the national way cuz when I did the CPR

We had the CPR portion of it on the state practical exam before the national transition.
