Hi all, I'm enrolled in the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers course through the Red Cross and I have a question about the handbook...

After searching through Amazon I'm finding that the book is much cheaper than what's offered in ARC's online store, but the old book is a bit outdated. The new one was revised in March 2011.

I'm a full-time student and of course saving as much money as possible would be ideal, but is it worth it to buy the outdated book? Is the information really that much different?

Thanks!

I wouldn't buy an outdated book. I wasn't able to find a cheap copy of the updated book online, but it wasn't even used in my class.

Good luck!

Actually, the Red Cross has the book online now. Here is the website.

ARC no longer requires students to have the book the clasroom-- merely a digital copy available.
