Getting hired VS company budgets

Hello all. My first post here.

I have been looking for a few months to start my career in EMS. I have all my license / certs / IS etc.... and have applied at many companies and local government agencies. I have a good work history in my previous career and finished top 5 in school. My question is being the end of the year would budget be the major factor on hiring freezes? My whole work life was in retail so I know budgets have a big effect on hiring. I don't know the ends and outs on EMS companies financial situations so wondering if that may be the issue.

Currently licensed AEMT and itching to help those that need it!

Unless their fiscal year is in the summer
Where do you live? From what I've seen it has a lot to do with need more so than budget, for the most part anyway
Try and stay sharp and apply as far as you are willing to drive
