Fresh Paramedic, looking for jobs in Florida

Looking for a website to help search for jobs in Florida or if you guys know of anywhere hiring (transport agencies/hospitals). I plan on just applying to hospitals to work in the ER for now since i don't have EVOC. I need to get EVOC since my school didn't provide that course so I have to pay for that class myself, which wont be too bad since it's just a weekend class.

I just got my state paramedic license and really want to start in the field.

You're entering an overly saturated market. If you do not have a fire cert you have limited options. Liberty Ambulance in Jacksonville, American in Orlando, Rural Metro in Orlando and Sumter County, Lake and Volusia EMS ( third service EMS non-fire), and Coastal in Brevard. Lake and Volusia will generally not hire you as a medic or let you clear for a while if they do... ( in Lake its in the union contract that you have a year as an EMT in the system befor you can clear)

You can try Sunstar in tampa if you want to move... but you wil need to get EVOC before you apply to just about any agency in Florida. You should grab the ICS on line stuff too 100 200 and 700.

Good luck its a tough road. I know someone who just got hired at one of those agencies after being out of paramedic school for 2 years!!!! As for websites you can try EMS pursuit, but you can get all that infor for free if you just seach the hospital sites and apply to the various agencies on line.

Thanks a bunch. Really just trying to get my foot in the door. I spent 6 months without being able to get hired as an EMT and just said heck with it and went to medic school, now I just really want to start working in the field.
