I have a suggestion.
There have been some great threads here at EMT Life.com as there are at many of the EMS forums. Some of the more intense debates have focused on philosophy, roles of EMS, future directions, current problems etc. Unfortunately so much of this intelligent debate disappears in the virtual vacuum of cyberspace.
Personally I would like to see some of the great ideas and thoughts that come out of them put to good use.
Perhaps the forum leaders might like to set up a system where specific proposals, good general threads with clinical innovativeness present, threads where many areas with specific relevance to current or future problems for society/regions/cities/ local ems systems etc are put together in an "EMT Life compendium of knowledge" as it were. Like a "best of" EMT Life thoughts or the like. The members of the forum could nominate great threads/posts or thoughts to put in the compendium.
Perhaps it could be circulated as a kind of diary or journal outside the website.
Ideas are the building blocks of change. In the course of debate many great ideas or perspectives come up that may have either positive practical implications in the real world of EMS or other areas or can provide stimulus for further progressive debate outside the forum.
Any thoughts from the forum leaders or others?
MM
