As it turns out... Vaping is potentially worse than smoking actual cigarettes in terms of the chemicals you inhale.

I don't vape, and never saw it as a 'healthy' alternative. My personal thoughts on it were pretty much what this study revealed... You're just inhaling other toxins. How is that 'healthier'? I do smoke the occasional cigar, but no cigarettes either.

Anywho, I know a ton of people who vape in EMS, for various reasons. I just hope folks realize this isn't a healthy alternative to smoking as it has been branded since it's start-up.

The long term effects have yet to be discovered or observed as well.
We'll see, but what we do know is that ain't just water vapor.

I googled this and found a few conflicting articles. I'm not sure but IMO it also could depend on the type of juice used (PG/VG etc).

Bottom line is, inhaling any smoke substance is not good.

I figure it was just a matter of time before some type of negative info hit the net about vapor or vaping. I happen to be a medic that uses this method when time and calls dont allow the truck to stop. The nicotine and caffeine helps me to keep focused and basically a sweet and pleasant person to work with through out the shift. I know this can look bad as a health care professional in the eye of the public but i also believe that others dont understand the level of stress that this job can carry. I know after i had a very bad call and i turn over pt care i want to regroup with a smoke and cry in private

Not to say you are wrong, but have you considered alternative stress relieving methods? For instance, even just doing some deep breaths and getting that valsalva stimulation going can really slow things down for you. The physiology of that is arguably like smoking but without a medium or substance.
