I really hope someone on here can help me, because I'm running out of time and patience. I've been all over the place trying to find an accredited refresher so that my certification doesn't lapse, and I have had zero luck. I've even gone as far as contacting the Florida Department of Health, the same people who issued my certification, and they have been zero help. The links they have provided me are links to schools that don't even offer refreshers. The only success I have had are classes that meet for 2 consecutive weekends. Unfortunately, I work on the weekends and don't have the time to take off for it. My own employer can't even point me in the right direction (granted, I don't actually work as an EMT, I'm a patient care tech at the moment). I've also been given a million different stories about the recert requirements. All I want to know is how many hours in what sections and where I can get it done. I have until midnight December 1st, and I've been working on this since August. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
