Greetings all,
I want to drop a quick note to mention two oxygen masks that we are seeing a lot of interest in lately. The FLO2MAX and O-Mask oxygen masks are "sister" products that were both designed to deliver what you intend to deliver. These masks are closed off to prevent room air dilution and therefore deliver true 100% oxygen at normal flows to the patient when needed. They also have the ability to intentionally entrain room air to allow dilution to maintain a normal SpO2 range.
The beauty in these masks is that they convert from oxygen masks to mini-neb masks as the reservoir is removable. We have also created a "Y" connector that allows you to use both the reservoir and mini-neb at the same time for maximum effect. The difference between the two is that the FLO2MAX contains an integral 3M filter to trap all exhaled particles (med's as well as bugs) while the O-Mask accepts a filter of your choosing on the exhalation port.
Some organizations are looking at them as they combine the non-rebreather, simple mask, nebulization mask and filter mask into one product. They both are available in 3 sizes (Large adult, small adult and child).
