Flight Medic/Critical Care Route?

Having said that, HEMS does genuinely help a certain percentage of patients. No system is perfect, ground or air.

A small percentage of patients in a very narrowly defined set of circumstances.

The cost being far in excess of the benefits.

Did you have a bad experience with an air medical company or provider? Just curious.

As I mentioned above, I am less concerned about the economics than of the lives lost.

Veneficus makes some valid points. And I know where you're coming from in regard to the HEMS accident rate.

But I still feel HEMS does a lot of good for a lot of people. Just my opinion.

Fly-write, I can't speak for Veneficus, but I know speaking as a former HEMS medic I've grown tired of wondering if I have friends dead everytime I hear about an aircraft crashing.
