GOVERNOR PAWLENTY ORDERS U.S. AND MINNESOTA STATE FLAGS AT HALF-STAFF IN HONOR OF TERRY LEE PEARSON -- January 7, 2005

Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that U.S. and Minnesota state flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and on all public buildings and grounds on Saturday, January 8, 2005, in honor and remembrance of Terry Lee Pearson, a Roseau emergency medical technician, who passed away this past Tuesday as a result of an in-the-line-of duty ambulance accident.

That brings a sentimental smile to my face to see a state do that. It's a shame that he passed, but he is remembered in a great way.

The downside is, if we never had 9-11-01, this would probably never have happened.
