Young man, might be on this forum once in a while, very young, no experience, very gung ho and jumping to conclusions like a frog to lily pads. Smart enough to pass tests. Trying to subtly chill him out not working.

I wish him luck, and I wish his patients and co-workers even more/

Let nature take it's course. He will eventually get into a situation and overstep himself around people who actually know what they are doing and will have no other choice but to insert his foot into his mouth. May sound harsh but some people will not change no matter how much you talk to them.

Couldn't agree more, he's gonna have to learn from his mistakes.

There was a medical professor who said "You don't really start learning medicine until you kill your first patient".

Yeah, it will be a little Darwinian, but he's smart enough he might actually get to a point where he gets someone hurt. Ah, well, did my best.

We were frequently told that every doctor owns a piece of the cemetary.

I still haven't gotten the certificate or paper that says I never make a mistake.

But I will charge a lot more if I ever do.
