Fellow passengers sue TB pt.

yeah seriously i mean taking legal action over what could be nothing.....i mean yes the guy was extremely selfish and has no regard whatsoever for others, but exleast wait and see what your case is before you sue....can he be find under american law, for flying when ordered not too?? or can his passport be marked so he can be refused future flights?? yes he should be punished, and maybe the only case the other people will have will be distress caused and possible loss of earnings, but nothing extreme..

Wow I really think that they are just sue-happy and want money like alot of people

Well, until they're tested, there's no positive diagnosis of TB. So why are they suing without even knowing the facts before hand? Not smart IMO.

They have no standing to sue unless they can prove injury.

Easy.... mental anquish and emotional suffering .... did I mention my father was an attorney?

One of the passengers tested positive for TB. While the chances are small that he got it from Andrew Speaker (the TB lawyer guy), it seems like too strange of a coincidence for me.

In this case I still believe that Andrew Speaker's actions were horrendously selfish, and he deserves to be sued. Anyone can be sued, but not everyone can win a lawsuit. I'd love to see him have to pay a bit of money and do lots of community service. It would humble him a bit.

So, if they can determine that the particular strain of TB this guy has didn't come from his father in law's lab, can't they determine if the strain of TB on the postive testing passenger is the same pathology as the one carried by Speaker?

Now, if it's determined that the passenger has a different strain of TB, that would not have been diagnosed if Speaker hadn't been on that plane, would that patient have benefitted from the testing? Speakers being on that plane might be directly responsible for another undiagnosed case of TB being caught in time for the pt to seek treatment.....Hmmmm it's a puzzle!
