Just wondering how the EPC and PEPP courses compare? I am taking an EPC course in a month or so, but is PEPP different enough to warrant taking that as well? The course descriptions are similar and it's hard to tell.
I have taken and taught both courses and I feel that there both great courses in pediatric content. I really dont think that you would need to take both of the courses as you will get about the same from each unless you wanted to. The only real difference is that EPC is NAEMT and PEPP is the AAP.
I'm not familiar with EPC, however for a basic, I would highly recommend PEPP as it can be tailored very easily to the basic crowd and highlights what is gone over in class (especially if taken during the pediatric portion). PEPP is a bit redundant for the ALS provider, especially if PALS is taken. Here we combine PEPP and PALS into a two day recert - doing the skills and checking off for both together. Seems to work well. BLS providers only have a single day refresher.
