EMT living in Texas ,working in the coroners office??

I am looking for information on how to work for a coroners office with a background as an emt. I live in the DFW area. In the past I have worked for an ambulance service that did morgue transports, because the city I lived in did not have a coroners office, so the bodies were transported to a neighboring town. I have seen job opens at times for coroners assistance. I am would like to find out if I would qualify, What do the job entail with further description of the job summary.

Your best bet would be to look around for the local coroner's offices and see what their job description says and maybe call them and ask. They would have more information and it would be accurate then what we could tell you.
